Year 8 Rounding Worksheets | Printable PDFs

Year 8 Rounding worksheets for Year 8 Maths (Key Stage 3). Students aged 12–13 learn how to round numbers accurately and use approximation techniques in calculations. Students in year 8 learn how to round to the nearest decimal place as well as to the nearest significant figure. A significant figure is a digit that tells you something important about the value of a number.
When rounding to significant figures, start at the first non-zero digit and count along. For example 4,582 to 2 significant figures = 4,600 and 0.00726 to 2 significant figures = 0.0073. Students practise rounding numbers, estimating answers, and rounding to significant figures. For easier rounding practice, try Year 7 Rounding Worksheets.
