Year 9 Percentages worksheets for Year 9 Maths (Key Stage 3). Students aged 13–14 learn how to calculate percentage change, percentage increase and percentage decrease in a variety of contexts. To work out percentage change use the following formula; Percentage change = (Change ÷ Original value) × 100.
To increase an amount use a percentage multiplier. For example to increase an amount by 25% you would multiply the amount by 1.25 which represents 125% as a decimal. To decrease an amount by 25% you would multiply it by 0.75 which represents 75% as a decimal. Below, students practise finding original values, using percentage multipliers and calculating compound interest.
